Piper the Pear...

This adorable onesie is going to a great teacher that I work with at one of my schools. She is expecting her first baby, a girl, just any day.
I thought this idea was too cute not to pass on.
I hope that she loves it.

I thought it looked like a Piper the Pear, so that is it's new name.

My First Mention...

A huge THANKS to Susan W...
She ordered those adorable burp cloth sets from me that featured the bird and penguin and gave me the nicest mention on her blog about my work. It was so thoughtful of her and it really made me so proud!

Thanks Susan! I look forward to working with you again soon!

Maggie's New Dress...Apple Bottoms...

I made this sweet dress for Ms. Maggie.
It has the adorable apple and pears fabric on one side and the sweet pink dots on the reverse side. It is completely reversible.
I think it turned out pretty good and I think she will look so stinking cute in it this summer with nothing but a diaper on.

What do you think?

Introducing Tootsie the Turtle...

...Introducing Tootsie the Turtle...

This special turtle is going to our sweet niece, Sophie Ann that lives in Indiana. I meant to get it to her for Valentine's Day, but you know the gallblader had to cause problems. I think it is pretty sweet and it will be so cute on her this summer...

I hope that she loves it.
Love you Sophie Bear!

Custom Ordered Maggie Moo Burp Cloths...

This was a custom order that I prepared for a sweet lady named Susan.

She ordered one girl burp cloth set and one boy burp cloth set.
She wanted a girlie set with a birdie on one and a "s" on the other.
On the boy set, she wanted a penguin on one and an "a" on other.

I think they turned out too cute and the penguin is for sure a personal favorite.

Susan, THANK YOU so much for your order. I hope the gift receivers love them very much. I would love to make more Maggie Moo Originals for you in the future!

Thanks!!!

Launch of Maggie Moo Designs on Etsy.com

I took the plunge and signed up to sale on my new favorite website www.etsy.com. If you have not been over to etsy.com, you must check it out. I have bought some of the coolest stuff off there. It is just like Ebay.com, except on etsy.com everything has to be homemade. How cool is that!

I have only listed Ms. Edna on there, but plan to list more in the near future. I currently have about five orders (YEAH!!!!!) to fill, I am so stink' excited.

If you get the opportunity, hop on over to etsy.com and check me out. I will put the link on here and to the right for quick reference.

I sale under my username on there, which is MaggieMoo'sMom since Maggie Moo Designs was already spoken for!

Continue to check in on here as well...Patti the Peacock is going to make an appearance soon!

New Blog, New Ideas, New Journey...

Thank you for visiting my sewing blog.
My name is Alison Harris and I am a full-time PE teacher locally at two different elementary schools. I also am a mom to a beautiful and oh so fun little girl named Maggie Holland. My husband and best friend ever is Josh. And lastly is the doggie Dexter Bing.

I like to sew on the side. It is a great way to relax and find some time for just myself and my craft. I started this blog to keep up with the projects I have completed and their purpose. I like my designs, I understand not everyone does. That is okay with me.
Thank you for your support. Please let me know if I can custom make something for you. I would love to...
